Collaborative Activities
Kidney CARE Network International stays true to its mandate of patient focused and inspired care by collaborating with individuals across all fields of work that may have been affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD), or are simply interested in helping a great cause. As a team and a family, we aim to:
Listen to what our patients and supporters value most.
Intergrate their ideas within the development of research projects, educational tools, and other materials that may be used in the battle against CKD.
Understand needs, meet with professionals, begin and nurture a discussion of the issue(s) at hand.
Help provide practical resolutions from both patient and healthcare perspectives.

This focus has led our team to collaborate with various universities, health technology companies, research groups, and event planners in order to provide all that we can for our patients and their families with various events.
We hope to continue this conversation in the future with all individuals who we will meet along the path towards better health for those affected by CKD.

Victoria Park Collegiate Institute Spelling Bee

Kidney CARE Network International held their first ever Spelling Bee at Victoria Park C.I. on April 14, 2016. It was an incredible event that not only raised awareness and money for chronic kidney disease, but was also a fun-filled night with some fierce competition. Students at VPCI competed against each other, spelling some really tough kidney related words in hopes of being crowned Kidney CARE's first ever spelling bee champion. At the end of the day, Aisha Khan, a grade 10 student at VPCI came out on top, followed closely by Nathaniel Johnston and Alishba Naseer, both grade 11 students at Victoria Park. The event ended up raising over $150 for those suffering from chronic kidney disease. A special thanks goes out to the Kidney Care and VPCI exec team, as well as everyone that helped plan the event. We are looking forward to making the event even bigger and better next year!
