Victoria Park Collegiate
Institute Spelling Bee
Kidney CARE International
held their first ever Spelling Bee at Victoria Park C.I. on April 14, 2016. It
was an incredible event that not only raised awareness and money for chronic
kidney disease, but was also a fun-filled night with some fierce competition.
Students at VPCI competed against each other, spelling some really tough kidney
related words in hopes of being crowned Kidney CARE's first ever spelling bee
champion. At the end of the day, Aisha Khan, a grade 10 student at VPCI came
out on top, followed closely by Nathaniel Johnston and Alishba Naseer, both
grade 11 students at Victoria Park. The event ended up raising over $150 for
those suffering from chronic kidney disease. A special thanks goes out to the
Kidney Care and VPCI exec team, as well as everyone that helped plan the event.
We are looking forward to making the event even bigger and better next year!
